Key Points to keep in mind when getting your vehicle Detailed / Restored

Paint Correction

  1. Maintaining the clearcoat by regularly applying a good cleaning and conditioning wax is imperative to retaining a beautiful vehicle after any paint correction procedure. Tree sap, bird droppings, acid rain, the sun’s UV rays and especially bugs are only a few of the environmental risks your vehicle can be exposed to. According to JD Power, “Regularly waxing a car is essential because it preserves the clear coat over a vehicle's paint. The clear coat is the layer that protects the paint from corrosive elements, including snow, rain, street salt, ultraviolet rays, and tree sap, among other contaminants.” When the clear coat wears away, the paint becomes susceptible to fading, discoloration, and rust. Applying wax is necessary to keep the exterior of the car in the best possible condition and to retain its resale value.
  2. If an imperfection or scratch has penetrated the clear coat and paint, it cannot be removed. As the surrounding paint will be refurbished, the remaining imperfections will become more noticeable.

Interior Steam Cleaning

  1. Some stains originating from certain sources such as coffee, tea, colored drinks or ink can permanently alter the fabric's dye. The sooner the stain is treated, the better the chance of at least making the stain look better. Houston’s weather makes the vehicle’s interior become like an oven baking in any stains.
  2. Essentially, the cloth on seats wrap around a large sponge absorbing any liquids that are not promptly cleaned. The steam cleaning process may be able to clean the surface but the imbedded liquid may rise from the seat cushion and become another stain.
  3. According to AAA, “If your car has leather seats, cleaning and conditioning them every three months is crucial to prevent damage. Leather seats are susceptible to drying out and cracking, which can be avoided with regular care. A good leather conditioner will keep your seats supple and help extend their lifespan, adding to the overall value of your vehicle.”
  4. Lastly but most importantly, please do not roll up the windows and seal the vehicle’s interior until the carpet and cloth are completely dry.

According to Industry Experts

Industry experts recommend washing your car about every two weeks as part of its general maintenance schedule. This frequency helps keep your car's exterior clean and free from harmful substances that can cause long-term damage.  Something as simple as washing your car can also be viewed as an investment.  Regularly washing your vehicle is not just about aesthetics, but also about maintaining its overall health and longevity.
